How many zoos are there that are the only one to hold a specific species either in their country or the world? Which zoos are they?

I know Edinburgh zoo is the only zoo in the UK to hold Giant Pandas.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Japan is the only holder of various cetaceans such as False orca, Pacific white-sided dolphin and the only public viewable Commerson's dolphins, right? And also the last Bulwer's pheasant and if things not changed, Tokyo aquarium holds the only Whale sharks...

David Wildlife Park is the only Zoo I am aware of that holds Proserpine Rock Wallaby, Greater Glider and Bridled Nail-Tail Wallbies in captivity. This list also included Julia Creek Dunnart however now their are none in captivity.

Various US facilities hold all of the above species except for Bulwer's pheasant. Apart from those mentioned above, Aquatica Orlando has the Commerson's dolphin on exhibit, SeaWorld San Antonio and the Miami Seaquarium have white-sided dolphins, SeaWorld Orlando and Sealife Park Hawaii have false killer whale.

Would I be right in thinking that Chester is the only zoo in Europe to hold Montserrat Tarantulas or is there another one?

Atonishing! Thanks for the info! I maybe expect other, even other two, aquariums to try on whale shark, but as I remember the first one in Tokyo as the only one in the world and a breaking new, I never would expect that 8 aquariums had success in keep alive for long time this so difficult-to-mantain species!

Thanks for the bunting, FBBird. Zootierliste don't updated yet the holders of this species.

Jayjds2, the Orlando Commerson's dolphins on exhibit? I always understood that they was off exhibit...
